“More people are suffering from chronic pain than from diabetes, cancer and heart disease combined. Chronic pain is complex and there’s no one source of pain, multiple factors to contribute to it. When people are not responding to the usual treatments it may be because they have some unresolved trauma held in the body. Pain itself is traumatic and anyone suffering from chronic pain is experiencing trauma. In response to trauma our bodies stiffen to create protection. The impact of an injury or an accident may be less about the tissue damage and more about the bracing pattern. Trauma and pain happen in the body, brain and the consciousness.”
— Peter Levine

Each year Peter Mandel presents an Update seminar to share his ne therapeutic insights designed to work with chronic therapy resistant issues. Included in these seminars is usually one section concerned with new approaches to working with Pain. In this workshop I’ll be presenting a series of these new treatment approaches for pain management which can be applied when the basic Esogetic approaches to pain are not giving long lasting results.

Included in this presentation are:

• The Thirty-seven Grid Points on the Forehead are matrix reflexes which create supraordinate treatments for pain. You can treat them with acupuncture, colorpuncture, massage and combine with such treatments as the Chinese Ear points.

This field on the forehead works via the Prefrontal Cortex and is connected with the Hippocampus, Amygdala and is affected via stress formation.

• The Esogetic Pain Clock

• New Applications of Scalp Acupuncture

• Supraordinate Levels of the Spine

• Regulation of the Thalamus and Medulla for Chronic Pain

• Treatments for PTSD and regulation of the Amygdala and Hippocampus in relation to Chronic Pain

• Case history of a client with prolapsed Discs at C4,C5,C6 and C7
